Campus Description

Located adjacent to the wharf at historical Port Adelaide, overlooking a picturesque stretch of the Port River. The campus specialises in Information Technology and Administration Studies; Aboriginal Education; Business Services; Community Services; Engineering; Vocational Preparation.

The Port Adelaide Child Care Centre is in an excellent location with easy parking, and provides full time, part time and occasional care to children from three months to five years of age. Increase your child's social skills while you study, work, do the shopping, have a break or attend an appointment.

You can come along for a free half hour visit with your child to find out more about the centre's fees and policies.

All students and staff at the Port Adelaide Campus can join the library. If you are a student, you will be automatically registered when you have enrolled and paid your fees. Members of the public can join the library on payment of a fee. Contact the library for further details.

Inter-library loans
If you cannot find the particular resources you need in the library, staff can arrange a loan from another location. Turnaround times depend on the availability of item and its location. Loans outside the TAFE SA library network will incur a fee. Library staff will notify you when the item is received.

Research help
We offer a range of services to help you to develop independent research skills and to make better use of library resources. The web links page has various sites that can aid you in writing assignments and referencing. Alternatively, the library has free printed brochures that you can take away for future reference. Library staff will also undertake searches for staff to assist in the preparation and delivery of their courses.

Research skills
Library staff actively encourage students and staff to develop the skills to use library resources. A wide range of sessions are available from basic to advanced, tailored to meet the specific needs of students and staff. Most sessions require advanced planning and booking. To arrange a session, contact the library.

Studying off campus
If you are a Port Adelaide Campus student studying off campus, the library can assist you by sending out resources or information to your home address, and dealing with your enquiries via phone, email or fax. You can return items to the nearest TAFE SA library or by post. You can also visit and use the services of any TAFE SA library under the 'Home Host' scheme. Some restrictions apply – please contact the library for further details.
